About Luke Trujillo Architect

Luke Trujillo has both an undergraduate and graduate degree from CU Boulder (1995) and CU Denver (1999). His career started in Denver in 1998 while serving as an intern at David Owen Tryba Architects. This led to and exploration and move to California in 1999 where he worked for a firm in San Diego and Los Angeles. In 2002 Luke made the move to Telluride. TruLinea was incorporated in 2007 after serving as an intern for Tommy Hein and David Gibson. Professional licensure was achieved in February 2008 with Colorado and NCARB – National Council of Architectural Registration Boards.

The Trujillo philosophy on design is theory driven. Site specific, client specific, and theoretical underpinnings create a unique design that is not repeatable. A story, an icon, or an element can become the anchor to each new project. Sketches by a skilled hand are developed with client input. Sketches are transformed into spaces and structures through Revit or ArchiCAD modelling. Discussions and ideas are further developed to create construction documents that incorporate deep engineering. Each project is carefully executed with a team of consultants. Construction Management and communications carry through until completion. The Architecture is assuredly artwork and a precise machine for living. Value is in the eye of the beholder.

TruLinea can be nimble and quick for each job by tailoring services. The office does not operate on volume. Each project is screened for a fit. Flexible design, local living, and thirty-two years of experience lead to a memorable experience.
